Frank D. Leatherman, Jr., MAI, CCIMFrank D. Leatherman, Jr, MAI, CCIM, is a partner in Leatherman Real Estate Services LLC (established in 1991) and serves as chief appraiser. LRES is a full service commercial real estate function providing appraisal services, brokerage and consulting. Mr. Leatherman is a native of Raleigh and a graduate of the University of NC at Chapel Hill. He is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser, a licensed NC Real Estate Broker, a member of the Appraisal Institute and a CCIM. Having an extensive background in the banking and real estate genres, Mr. Leatherman has appraised a variety of commercial properties including office buildings, shopping centers, subdivisions, apartments, restaurants, industrial properties, vacant land, historic properties, mixed-use developments, golf courses, cotton gins, waste treatment facilities, landfills, municipal and institutional properties. Mr. Leatherman has extensive experience in eminent domain issues providing expert testimony for municipalities and property owners. Mr. Leatherman's client relationships include some of the nations major financial institutions and development companies, attorneys, municipalities, public and private corporations as well as individual property owners.

Carolyn B. Terry, Managing Partner, Certified General Real Estate Appraiser, and Broker has been with Leatherman Real Estate Services LLC since its inception in 1991. Ms. Terry manages the daily administrative and financial functions of LRES as well as providing appraisal, commercial/residential brokerage services and consulting. A native of Charlotte where she started her real estate career, she has an extensive background in leasing, property management and development of residential and commercial properties. Prior to her real estate experience, Ms. Terry worked in Sales and Human Resources.

Baxter Miller joined LRES in 2012 as a Research Assistant and became a Registered Trainee Appraiser in 2013. Baxter is originally from New Bern, NC. She graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor's Degree in Advertising from the School of Journalism & Mass Communication at the University of NC at Chapel Hill. Prior to joining the LRES team, Baxter gained invaluable experience in strategic planning while interning at one of the top media agencies in the country, Universal McCann. She also managed a profitable retail business in the US Virgin Islands. Baxter is working toward her General Certification and MAI designation.
Jessica Rouse is a Registered Trainee Appraiser, working toward becoming General Certified and pursuing her MAI designation. Jessica is from Newtown, CT and graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor's Degree in Management with concentrations in International Business and Marketing. She gained experience in the real estate industry through an internship with Trinity Real Estate in New York City as their Strategic Planning and Business Development intern before relocating to Raleigh. Jessica has experience in appraising a variety of commercial property types including subdivisions, offices, industrial facilities/warehouses and estate portfolios.
Lauren Freiberg is a Registered Trainee with the State of NC. Lauren graduated from the University of NC at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor's Degree. She worked as a project coordinator at McKinney advertising in Durham, NC prior to joining Leatherman Real Estate Services, LLC in May of 2010. Lauren is an Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute and is pursuing her State General Certification and MAI designation.
Jeff Ogle joined LRES in 2012 as a Certified Residential Appraiser and has been appraising since 2006. Jeff graduated from Appalachian State University in 2005 with a degree in Business Management. Prior to joining LRES Jeff worked in Western North Carolina and has experience appraising a variety of commercial and residential properties. He is a Practicing Affiliate of the Appraisal Institute pursuing his General Certification and MAI designation.
Herman Leatherman joined LRES in June 2013 as a Research Coordinator. He was previously part- time with LRES while attending college. Herman graduated with a BA in History, Cum Laude in May 2013 from Barton College. He plans to pursue an appraisal career working toward a General Certification and MAI designation.
